Manila Design Week is back for a second year, making good on its promise to turn August into the official design month of the Philippines.
Manila Design Week aims to bring Philippine graphic design into the mainstream. More than that, it wants to establish the Philippines as a hub of graphic design and creativity in the region by galvanizing local talent and giving it a voice, year after year.
Everything and anything graphic design, in all media, will be featured: from print and publication design to web and motion graphics passing through its applications in photography, advertising, music and fashion. Daily activities in venues around the metro are scheduled, like last year, for one whole week in August (SATURDAY the 7th to FRIDAY the 13th). Each one revolves around a core message chosen by the Manila Design Week team.

Everyday, everyone and everything are great places to find good design.
Over the years, the relationship between the general population and graphic design has grown familiar and comfortable. Design has been democratized. It is no longer exclusive to luxury items and large institutions that can afford both beautiful form and outstanding function. Everyday, everyone and everything have become great places to find quality designs that make our lives easier and nicer to look at.
