Live from Asia-in-a-Basket at SM City Cebu’s Foodcourt

Asia in a basket SM City Cebu

Right at this very moment, I am at the SM City Cebu Foodcourt for Asia-in-a-Basket”: The Food Bloggers’ Meet! Organized by the Foodcourt Administration, the event features an exhibit of SM Foodcourt’s wide array of specialties to increase brand awareness of SM Foodcourt while highlighting its great features and services (great food and WiFi availability among others).

The above photo shows an overview of the food selections that we are about to attack taste. If we talk about photography, the table would serve as the canvas and the food would serve as the models. Haha. Yes, the food selections on the table are “for-your-eyes-only”. Correction: for-the-camera-lenses-too. LOL.

Anyway, moving on… The event was opened by the Foodcourt Manager herself, Ms. Geraldine Alunan. Personally, I am not new to attending events by SM since I’ve already attended some in the past such as the 1st SM Sinulog Grand Street Party, 1st Sinulog Fireworks Competition, Sinulog Festival Queen Photoshoot, SM Green Bag Launching and SM City Cebu WiFi Launching, among others but this one is different and this is all about food, which we all want, need, and love, so I really got excited about it.

Among the activities are a photoshoot, where each participating Foodcourt tenant presents 2 of their dishes for bloggers to take photos in their own creative ways (see first photo above), and a LIVE photoblogging contest, where each of the bloggers blogs about the event LIVE, in their respective blogs.

And now, EATANDSHOP.COM proudly presents Asia-in-a-basket, in photos!

UPDATE:

Due to the time constraint, I am glad to inform you that the photos were not enhanced in any way so what-you-see-is-what-you-get.

Towards the end of the event, each of the participants were recognized and were given a gift pack and a certificate of appreciation. And fortunately, this blog post was given a special award for the manner it presented the food selections through photos. (The prize? P600 worth of Foodcourt Gift Certificates and a gift pack – so I brought home 2 gift packs. Weee!)

So once again, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Ms. Jing, Ms. Shella and the rest of the SM City Cebu Foodcourt Team, Mr. Stephen Montemayor, Marketing Officer – SM Foodcourt Head Office, and SM City Cebu for regularly tapping the Cebu Bloggers Society to their events. Thank you for the accommodation and trust! ‘Til the next event! :)

WELCOME to the SOFT LAUNCH of EATANDSHOP.COM! Don’t shop on an empty stomach!

Detailed reviews on each of the food selections presented will be posted in a series, soon!
