Yesterday October 1, Ayala Center Cebu, being the mall that cares, launched its Think Pink! Campaign. Now on its 3rd year, the campaign is intended to promote breast cancer awareness. The campaign, which began on October 2008, aims to highlight the importance of having a healthy lifestyle through exercise and good nutrition.

Why Pink?

The Think Pink presscon, like all other Ayala Center Cebu events, started on time

The color pink has become an international symbol for breast cancer awareness after a series of campaigns and fund-raising activities which successfully raised money for several breast cancer care and research programs.

Ms. Mary Anne “Me’anne” Alcordo-Salomon, former president of the Rotary Club of Cebu Fuente, spearheads I Can Serve Foundation’s Cebu Chapter. She shares her story as a breast cancer patient and her passion in empowering other breast cancer patients now as a breast cancer survivor.

This year, Ayala Center Cebu intensifies the Think Pink campaign further by making it a venue for both cancer patients and survivors to share their stories which would serve as a call for everyone to always aim to be in the “pink of health” (thus the campaign name, Think Pink). This occasion aims to provide information on the disease and encourages total health and wellness among women and the general populace.

Be in the Pink of Health and Make a Mark!

Last year, Ayala Center Cebu’s Think Pink campaign won the top prize in the community relations–marketing category of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) Awards . The award was presented by ICSC chairman Peter Sharpe and ICSC president Michael Kercheval to the Ayala Malls team comprised of senior vice president and Ayala Malls Group head Marivic Añonuevo, vice president and chief operating officer Rowena Tomeldan, and senior division manager and marketing head Cathy Bengzon. The 2009 ICSC Asia Shopping Center Award recognized “outstanding achievement in marketing” and it was open to shopping center owners, management companies, architects and designers, and retailers across Asia.

A. The first fifty (50) Ayala Malls A Cardholder to reserve seats by calling the Trinoma A Card hotline at 901-3000 or 901-3690 are entitled to two (2) tickets. Seat reservations will only be accepted on March 8 at 10AM to 6PM. Ayala Malls A Cardholders can receive a maximum of two (2) seat stubs.

B. When reserving seats, Ayala Malls A Cardholder will be required to give his/her A Card number for identification and a mobile number where a text message will be sent regarding the confirmation and details of the seat reservation.

C. To get your stubs, present the Ayala Malls A card and confirmation text at the A Card Concierge located at the Activity Center from March 12 to 14 to get your seat stubs. The presentation of Ayala Malls A Cards and confirmation text will be strictly implemented.
