Cebuanos will have to watch out for the entry of some luxury brands as Ayala Center Cebu expands once more this year.

Francis O. Monera, president of Ayala Land affiliate Cebu Holdings, Inc., said during the opening of the Balik Cebu 2011 Booth that the construction of the much-awaited final phase of Ayala Center Cebu will start as soon as the PUV Terminal is already operational at its new location, fronting the West Entrance, within the first quarter of this year.
To complete the full-circle design of the mall, Phase 2-B will be seamlessly connected to the Main Mall and The Terraces. Estimated to cost P2.8 billion pesos, the development will feature among others, a new location for Rustan’s Department Store, an IT Zone and luxury brands. With a gross leasable area of more than 36,000 square meters, the expansion will be about 1/3 the size of the existing mall. Two words that Mr. Monera used to describe the upcoming development are “Beautiful!” and “Major-Major!”
Ayala Center Cebu’s Phase 2-B is expected to provide more choices to the ever-dynamic Cebu market. The most recent addition to the mall is the “Services Hub” at the 4th Level of Paseo Ciudad, right beside Fitness First. The one-stop zone has outlets for banking, payments, travel bookings, services and others. The Services Hub is directly connected to the 3rd Level (Toys Section) of Metro Department Store.
